La Colina

La Colina is located on the western side of the Dundee Hills, and sits at 500-600 feet of elevation.  It was planted in 1999 by George Hillberry, who is one heck of a farmer.  The site is dry farmed and is live certified.  There are about 40 acres planted, all Pinot noir, save one acre that George grafted over to heritage chardonnay clones for us in the coldest pocket of the vineyard. Our first vintage working with George was 2022, and right out of the gate the Pommard clone Pinot showed precocious red fruits which we love in a blanc de noir. The acre he grafted to Chardonnay comprises a mix of clones fro Clos Electrique blanc. The first year we received fruit from that block was 2024. It was harvested on October 6th at 18.1 brix and 11 g/L TA. We are very excited about the base wines. It could be our ace in the hole.
